Both the functionality and look of your kitchen, bathroom, or other home space is a key piece to being able to fully enjoy your home. Many older Flagstaff homes (and sometimes new, poorly designed homes) often don’t meet the needs of today’s busy families or modern appliances. When it is realized that a kitchen design is in need of an update, customers call on us to help achieve individual design goals. Whether the homeowner, designer, builder, or architect contacts us, we are here to help!
The first step in remodeling a space is to recognize what you like about your space, and alternatively, what you dislike. Flow and design are very important. A simplistic, functional custom kitchen design that is beautifully elegant and appealing to the eyes might be just what you need.
We will come to your home and take measurements while getting a feel for each customer’s specific needs and wants (We can also design a space based on blueprint plans from your builder). Does it make sense to remove a wall and open up a space to create a roomier area? We can help you with discovering options that you may not have thought about. These measurements are then given to our kitchen designer to begin work on your space.
An appointment to visit our welcoming showroom to pick out the door style, wood, and color that you fall in love with will then be incorporated into your design. We have several different styles and accessory options for you to look at and touch. You can also scroll through past projects we have completed on our TV screen at the showroom. Once you have chosen the desired door style, cabinet manufacturer, substrate and color, the kitchen designer will create a new, functional design and renderings of your space to present to you, the customer.
A custom quote, based on your needs, budget, and style will be presented to you. If you wish to proceed with allowing Kevin’s Cabinets to design and build your space, we will collect a $300 design fee to fine tune your design which will be allocated towards your cabinet purchase. This design fee includes up to 8 hours of design. If you require more time in order to achieve your perfect space, that is fine too! The fee then will be charged at an hourly rate and not applicable towards cabinet purchase. We are here to make sure everything is perfect for you!
When the final design, renderings, and proposal have been approved, a 75% deposit will be collected and cabinets will be ordered. Depending on the manufacturer, cabinets can vary anywhere from 1-10 weeks to be delivered. If we are performing the remodel, it is very likely that we have already scheduled your demo and preliminary subcontractor work such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall repairs, painting, flooring install, etc. If we are supplying cabinets and installation only, we will coordinate the install schedule with the homeowner or contractor performing the necessary work prior to cabinet installation to make sure you are ready for installation. Depending on the complexity of the project, installation can take 1 day to 2 weeks! Our open line of communication will never leave you guessing.
The remaining cabinet and install payments will be partially requested at delivery with final payment after the completion of the install. Our highly trained finish carpenters meticulously install cabinets, accessories and trim to perfection every time. We pride ourselves on the performance of our work.
